Encyclopedia of Human Behavior

Recommended supplement

This four-volume set is a comprehensive view of human behavior, some of which is depicted specifically in the domain of business (e.g., organizational behavior, social loafing, problem solving, paranoia, motivation, etc.). Some of this material may be deemed too specifically psychological to be particularly useful to the business environment. On the other hand much should be left to the reader's judgment. It is well written in anthology form and clearly formatted.

The Encyclopedia of Human Behavior is intended, according to its editor and his advisory board, for use by both students and research professionals. Articles have been chosen to reflect major disciplines in the study of human behavior, common topics of research by professionals in this realm, and areas of public interest and concern. Each article thus serves as a comprehensive overview of a given area, providing both breadth of coverage for students and depth of coverage for research professionals.

he index is located in Volume 4. Each article contains an outline, a glossary, cross-references, and a bibliography. The outline allows a quick scan of the major areas discussed within each article. The bibliography lists recent secondary sources to aid the reader in locating more detailed or technical information.
